Factors influencing the effectiveness of powder modification include the properties of the powder raw materials, the modification method, the modification process, the modifying agent and its formulation, and the modification equipment. When the powder modification process and modifying agent or formulation are determined, the modification equipment becomes a key factor affecting the effectiveness of powder modification.

Powder modification equipment mainly undertakes three responsibilities: firstly, mixing; secondly, dispersion; and thirdly, the modifying agent melts in the equipment and forms a good bond with the powder. In addition, the powder modification equipment is also required to have low energy consumption and wear, no dust pollution, simple operation, and stable operation.
The honeycomb mill consists of three parts: a pharmaceutical system, a continuous depolymerization and modification host, and a finished product collection and dust removal system. The metering feeding system consists of a raw material bin, a feeding screw conveyor, a metering screw conveyor, and a weight sensor; the hot air generator is actually a natural gas combustion chamber or uses an electric heater combined with a blower to generate hot air; the pharmaceutical system consists of a modifier hopper, a metering device, a liquefier, and a compressed air inlet.
The biggest feature of the honeycomb mill is that it integrates four functions: deep drying, depolymerization dispersion, composite modification, and surface spheroidization. It is a mechanical and chemical continuous powder composite modification machine, which is compact in structure, small in size, easy to operate, stable in operation, low in labor intensity, and low in noise.
The honeycomb mill has low energy consumption. Low-energy-consumption modification equipment can reduce production costs and improve product competitiveness; low wear and tear not only avoids contamination of the modified materials but also improves equipment operation efficiency and reduces operating costs; low dust pollution; continuous production, simple operation, and low labor intensity; stable and reliable operation.
