Fly ash is a byproduct of coal combustion. Due to its fine particles and large specific surface area, it has important applications in various fields. As a cement admixture and concrete additive, it can effectively improve the workability of concrete and enhance its strength and durability. For example, in infrastructure construction such as roads and bridges, concrete mixed with fly ash can improve impermeability and frost resistance, thereby extending the service life of the project. ; Properly treated fly ash can be used to improve soil by adjusting soil pH, increasing soil aeration and water retention, creating a favorable environment for crop growth, and thus increasing crop yields. ; It can be used for treating wastewater and exhaust gases. Its porous structure can adsorb heavy metal ions and organic pollutants in wastewater, and it also plays an important role in flue gas desulfurization processes.

The vertical mill employs advanced grinding technology when processing fly ash, mainly achieving material grinding through the interaction between the stirring mill and the grinding media. Fly ash enters the grinding chamber through the feed inlet and, under centrifugal force, quickly moves toward the chamber's edge. During this movement, the material is continuously subjected to collisions and shearing by the media. These media move at high speed inside the mill, fully contacting the fly ash particles, repeatedly compressing, grinding, and shearing them, thereby rapidly grinding the fly ash to the desired particle size. In this process, precise control of grinding parameters such as grinding time, speed, and media selection ensures the stability and consistency of the grinding effect.
By precisely controlling various parameters during the grinding process, the vertical mill can produce fly ash products with uniform particle size. The product has a narrow particle size distribution, meeting the strict particle size requirements of different industrial applications. For example, in high-end concrete production, where uniformity of fly ash particle size is highly demanded, products produced by the vertical mill can well satisfy this requirement, thereby improving concrete performance.
Fly ash processed by the vertical mill has finer and more uniform particles, increased specific surface area, and significantly enhanced activity. When used in building materials, it can better chemically react with cement and other materials, strengthening the bonding between materials, thus improving the strength and durability of concrete and cement products.
