In the wet fine grinding of mineral powders, the advantages of vertical‑type equipment are attracting increasing attention. Compared with horizontal‑type machines, vertical mills occupy less floor space and are easier to install; under the combined action of gravity and agitation, the material is distributed more uniformly, resulting in stable grinding performance. Wet mills operate in a liquid phase, thereby eliminating the dust generated by dry grinding, while slurry handling is convenient and downstream processes flow smoothly.

Vertical wet‑grinding equipment combines a vertical design with wet grinding. Inside the grinding chamber, an agitator drives the grinding media at high speed, subjecting the mineral powder to continuous shearing and collisions in the liquid phase, thereby achieving ultrafine particle sizes. The system employs a continuous feed‑and‑discharge process, making it well suited for large‑scale production while remaining relatively easy to maintain. For mineral powders such as calcium carbonate, kaolin, and wollastonite, vertical wet grinding yields fine, uniformly dispersed slurries, reducing dust generation and energy consumption. It is a practical and cost‑effective solution for the wet fine‑grinding of mineral fillers, enabling effective control of operating costs in the fine‑grinding stage and accommodating diverse production volumes.
