Ultrafine raw coal powder has a high surface energy, and interparticle molecular forces readily lead to agglomeration during storage and transport. When used directly for gasification or as a filler in rubber and plastics, it can result in incomplete reactions and poor compatibility with organic matrices. Conventional mechanical stirring modifies only the outer layer of agglomerates, leaving the internal particles poorly accessible to the modifying agents, thus limiting the effectiveness of the treatment.
The honeycomb‑type grinding and coating modification machine employs a two‑step process: first depolymerization, followed by coating. Inside the chamber, a dispersing impeller breaks up agglomerated coal particles, while atomized additives uniformly coat individual powder particles, enhancing dispersibility and surface activity. The internal honeycomb flow channels integrate drying, depolymerization, and modification steps, enabling a single unit to consolidate multiple independent processes and thereby saving plant floor space.

The entire system operates under negative pressure in a sealed environment, ensuring dust emissions comply with environmental standards for mining and chemical industries. Following modification, the coal powder exhibits improved flowability, making it suitable as a gasification feedstock or a functional filler. It is compatible with the continuous-scale production of modified coal fines, thereby supporting high-value processing of coal-based raw materials.
